About PINE

The 1st Pan-Asia International Network for Elite (PINE) League represents leading Asian universities committed to high-quality research, excellent teaching and outstanding learning experience. The missions include enriching the intellectual life in Asia and making an impact on the social, economic and cultural well-being of their regions. Pines are evergreen, coniferous resinous trees growing 3–80 m tall. Pines have been introduced throughout most temperate and subtropical regions of the world, where they are grown as timber and cultivated as ornamental plants in parks and gardens. The distinguished students from all Universities are like pines and make great contributions to their societies.

 

The first PINE league sports event will be held by National Taiwan University (NTU). The event is divided into student sports competitions and faculty academic convention. The sports competition includes Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Volleyball and Badminton (Men and Women). The purpose of the event is to enhance sports activities and academic exchanges among Asia’s top universities.
